How to maintain good work flow in your office ?

Flow of work is concerned with the passing of work from one operation to another or from one stage to another. The way on which a particular work moves from one operation to another is called a flow of work. A steady and constant flow of work following a routine results in high efficiency. For analysis of flow of work, different charts are prepared. These charts are called flow of work chart. These charts are office layout chart, flow process chart, work distribution chart, operation chart and management type flow chart. To ensure a sound flow of work the office manager has to see that:

(a) The flow of work is not disrupted.

(b) Each duty is performed in its appropriate sequence.
