Off player Jyoti Randhawa is the first Indian to win the Asian P.G.A. Tour Order of Merit. The son of a retired army general, Jyoti Randhawa was the second Indian player, after Gaurav Ghee, to qualify for the British Open.

He held second place in the US $ 1.5 million BMW Asian Open in Taiwan, and moved to the top of the Merit list for the first time in 2002. Topping the list of money earners in the game, Randhawa entered into British Open and American Express Japan Golf Tour Organization. Randhawa has won four times on the Asian P.G.A. Tour.
