Rajasimha was succeeded by his other son Paramesvaravarman II who ruled from 728 to 731. During the short period of his reign he had to face Vikramaditya, the Western Chalukya in many battles. Later Ganga inscriptions claim that Sri Purusha defeated this I Kaduvetti (Pallava).
