The most enjoyable picnic was arranged by us last Sunday. We decided to go to Sultanpur Lake in Gurgaon. We were in all six friends, a couple of us very good singers. We can enjoy a picnic most if the whole party is like-minded. Fortunately all of us equally had a sense of humour. We could cut joke as easily as receive it.
Apart from a good company, nature helped us. The sky was overcast with clouds and the summer sun would not come out. There was a cool breeze indicating that somewhere not at a great distances it was raining. We took taxis and reached Gurgaon.
Our Programme started with tea, lunch at restaurant in situated in the compound of Sultanpur Lake. Tea over we decided to have a bath in the Lake. All of us were very good swimmers. Swimming is a very good exercise and we played as we swam in the Lake. It was really very interesting. After the bath we had another round of tea.
We took our lunch after some time. We prepared our bread’s, vegetables, “Sandwiches” ourselves. Swimming had whetted our appetite already.

After meals we took rest for a while. We had a mind to play cards. But unfortunately we had forgotten to bring cards with us. We had therefore to borrow them from another party who were busy eating. After some time we all packed and decided to have a walk around the gardens and fields singing all the way in a chorus. It was really a most enjoyable event. People stopped on their way to look at us. Some even caught the line and sang with us.
We entered a garden and then paid our way to a mango tree. The ripe mangoes attracted our attention and we had them to our fill. After some time we decided to return.
The bus stand was not far off. We had to stand in a queue. However we reached home at night and were feeling tired. We were very happy that we had a very enjoyable time of our life during the day.
