After considering various pros and cons of the problem the teacher shall take a decision about the type of lesson plan that he should prepare. He has to select one of the following types:

(i) Knowledge lesson,

(ii) Skill lesson,

(iii) Application lesson.

(i) Knowledge Lesson. It refers to a lesson which recalls or recognises concepts or meanings of relationships with which die learn­ers experiences.

(ii) Skill Lesson. It refers to a lesson that deal with manual dexterity in the activity involved and acquiring skill from resulting in doing.

(iii) Application Lesson. It refers to a lesson that contributes directly to the acquisition of appreciations, having direct outcome of the activities. Appreciations grow out of experience.

A New trend in the philosophy of lesson planning has emerged out in the latter half of 20th century. The works of B.S. Bloom, Piazza, pro­grammed learning and the objective based teaching under the new concepts all commendable signs and symptoms of new horizon which the future world is likely to be enshrined and brought to the educa­tional scene.
