The space race in mainly America, Russia and other European Countries were participants, generally other countries such as developing country did not attracts attention towards space race.
“The launch was perfect and precise. The satellite has been placed in the earth orbit. With this, we have completed the first leg of the mission and it will take 15 days to reach the lunar orbit", G Madhavan Nair Chairman ISRO.
The moon is our closest neighbor in space and is the brightest and largest object to be seen in the night sky. In reality it is very tiny compared to the planets and stars. It looks big to us because it is the nearest to our earth, only 384,400 kilometers away.
The moon has no light of its own and shines only because it reflects the sun’s light. As it turns on its axis only once in a journey round the Earth, each part of its surface has first about two weeks of darkness and then about two weeks of sunlight.
