Brief note on double counting and why should it be avoided
While estimating national income a commodity should be counted only once, otherwise it would create the problem of double counting such as counting cotton and cotton textile both. In this illustration cotton has been counted twice. Therefore, this problem should be avoided. It can be done in two ways.
