Co-curricular activities are the outside activities from the regular curriculum programmes of a school system but inter-related and correlated programmes for the holistic development of a child.
Co-curricular activities are not extra activities but complementary, supplementary and substitute educational programmes for an all-round development of a child. It touches all the 3 H’s programmes i.e. Head, Heart and Hand or cognitive, affective and connective programmes.
Curriculum can be identified through both curricular and co-curricular activities in an educational system. There are differences between both activities but there is no contradiction in these programmes.
