7. After completing education one needs to register with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). It is a regulatory body which awards two different types of certifications. Those engineers who have graduated are called the registered engineers while those who have gained five years of experience after Bachelors are awarded the title of a Professional Engineer.

Course Structure:

The course structure for engineers requires them to study various subjects related to mathematics and sciences. There are few core courses which everyone has to study irrespective of the field in which they are specializing. The latter half of their bachelor’s degree requires them to take elective courses in the field they want to specialize.

Recognition of the Course:

Engineers from HEC recognized universities are recognized by the Pakistan Engineering Council and engineers from highly ranked engineering colleges are paid highly by different Multi National Companies.

Job Opportunities:

The prospect of jobs for engineers is expected to increase by 2018 in Pakistan so there may be multiple job offerings for them by then. At present as the effects of global crisis are prevailing in the country, job opportunities for engineers are limited. Many of the engineers seek higher education from foreign universities and plan to migrate so that they are paid a fair amount of compensation for the skills they possess.

Eligibility:

In order to acquire a degree of Bachelors in engineering in Pakistan, you are required to do your A levels or F.Sc with a subject combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science.

Remuneration:

The remuneration for engineers largely depends on the field in which one has done his engineering and also on the standard of qualification.
