If we carefully manage our resources ensure just and equitable distribution of necessities of life among all living being in this world, avoid extravagance, the planet has enough for all of us. But the growth in population of one or two species only – say for example that of humans – cannot be indeterminate.

Howsoever, large may be the resources of a planet, whatsoever, may be its capacity for regeneration, indeterminate growth and consumption thereby, shall exhaust the carrying capacity of the system at some point of time in future and it shall collapse. A line has to be drawn within which we shall have to confine our numbers.
