What activities have been included under curriculum by modern educationists

Since the modern educationists thinks of the curriculum in terms of the pupils activities, there can be three approaches to such desirable curriculum activities:

(i) Activities involved in handling the prescribed subject matter.

(ii) Activities based on the natural inclinations of the children, elaborating their impulses, needs and desires etc.

(iii) Activities leading to worth-while experiences. Thus the above three types of activities establish three theories of the curriculum based on-

(a) Subject matter or imposition.

(b) Expression.

(c) Experience.
