There are four types of Indian crops which are as follows-
(i) Kharif crops–
These are the crops sown in June/July and reaped in October. As-for example-Rice, maize, and millets etc.
(ii) Rabi -crops–
ADVERTISEMENTS:
These are the crops which are November and reaped in March and April. As for example Wheat, barley, graph and linseeds, mustard etc.
(iv)Cash crops-
Crops which are produced for trading purposes and not consumption by the farmer and his family for subsistence are known as cash crops. Examples-Tea, Cotton, Jute and Tobacco.
