There is difference between the revolutionaries or revolutionary freedom fighters and the terrorists. The aim of the revolutionaries is to overthrow a foreign or colonial rule. They are nationalists and their aim is to free their country from foreign rule. They are true nationalists and are prepared to lay down their lives for the cause of their motherland. The nationalist leaders who participated in Indian freedom struggle can be termed as revolutionaries.
On the other hand, the aim of the terrorists is to overthrow an elected government. In Jammu and Kashmir, the militants are terrorists and not revolutionaries. Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is being fought on the name of religion by the fundamentalists and is having sustained by the Pakistan’s.
