A short story on an Elephant for kids
The entire story centers in the life of an elephant herd –the great acacia pod feast. The feast is provided by the two old “nurse maids” of the herd, whose duty it is to look after the young ones, feed them and protect them from danger. The contentment generated after the feast as the great bellies rumble is, in fact, the elephant song.
