What are the ways to control pollution caused by Automobiles?
Some of the ways to control pollution caused by Automobiles are- Vehicles should be properly tuned so that hydrocarbons are completely burnt. This would reduce the pollution due to hydrocarbons. Air filters should be regularly cleaned and air-fuel ratio should be properly adjusted so that sufficient oxygen is available for combustion of hydrocarbons (gasoline or diesel). This would reduce CO and hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases.
