The helminths are modified morphologically as well as physiologically to alive in their particular environments. These modifications depend on the degree of parasitism.

The life history of liver fluke is much complicated due to the occurrence of several larval forms in a series. It is digenetic, i.e. requiring two alternating hosts for its completion. This helps in dispersal of the worm as well as reduces the period of exposure to many hazards of the environment.
Each foot has only two toes. While walking, the camel uses its entire foot. Its hooves are covered by a large sole which helps it to move on hot, slippery sand. It can cover about 100 km in a day at a speed of 20-25 km per hour without food and water.
