This period from 11000 to 12000 years back from now is regarded as the period of neolithic age. This age is divided into two main cultures. The first part of this age is called the period of campignion culture.

The later part is known as the period of Robenhausean culture. Two revolutionary changes in the human culture took place during neolithic age – one was the introduction of Agriculture and the other was that of animal husbandry. Plough was therefore invented.

Potter’s wheel is also a gift of this age. Cutting instruments of hard stone were also made. A great evolution took place in pottery. Earthen pots began to be baked, polished and painted. Before this age, there were pots only of stone.
