In this age of science when every house has a television set along with other sources of recreation, cinema has its own craze. Hence, visiting a cinema show, especially in the company of friends is very interesting and exciting in itself. And, I hardly miss such a chance.

Last Sunday, I went to witness a superhit film, Garv. We were five friends. The show was to begin at 6.30 p.m. but we reached to the hall half an hour earlier. There was a great rush as large number of people was stepping in every minute.

It was a problem for us to wait for half an hour. However, we spent it in gossiping and finally the time came when we have to enter the hall. The hall was just like the palace profusely lighted with electric bulbs, tubes and globes. As soon as we entered it we had a feeling of fairy land. I had come to this theatre for the first time, hence everything seemed new.

The iron railing divided the hall into three classes for the spectators. These classes were for the first, second and third class spectators. We had the tickets of first class, so we sat on couches, far off the screen. I was getting impatient. At exact 6.30 p.m. the bell rang. The lights switched off and the picture started.

The film moved around the life of Salman Khan, who was a truthful and honest police officer. He believes in carrying out his duties no matter what it takes. In due course it so happened that he challenges the underworld by eliminating the most wanted criminals.

Things go too far when Salman’s family becomes a target of the underworld gangs. Salman is left with no choice but to take the law into his own hands. And finally he proved himself successful in eliminating those criminals who were creating nuisance every now and then.

Garv is a unimpeachable integrity, the power of emotional bonding and the triumph of natural justice. It is also the unrelenting pursuits of a team of dedicated cops who are out to better society. Produced by Prem Krishan and Sunil Mehta and directed by Puneet Issar, the film co-stars Arbaaz Khan, Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher. Shilpa Shetty’s role is also praiseworthy.

Thus, the theme of the film was very impressive and the scenes were real and catching. Such type of films imparts positive influence on the society. Therefore all liked the film.

The show came to an end at 9.30 p.m. The crowd left the hall appreciating the picture and its subject matter. I too liked the film veiy much. Actually I am fond of such films. Thus, that evening was spent nicely.
