What were the contributions of Brahmo Samaj in the growth of national sentiment?

The Brahmo Samaj under the leadership of Rammohan Roy, Debendranath Tagore, Keshab Chandra Sen and others made valuable contributions to the growth of nationalism.

Firstly, the Brahmo Samaj took the first step to reform religion and society in India for the regeneration of the people and the country.

Secondly, the Samaj also was in favor of inculcating western education, for, without scientific knowledge the people of India could not move forward.

Thirdly, Keshab Chandra Sen joined the Brahmo Samai being invited by Debendranath Tagore. Keshab Chandra made social service an important agenda in the activities of the Brahmo Samaj.

His oratory attracted the attention of the youth of the different parts of the country.

Thus it may be said from what has been stated above that the activities of the Brahmo Samaj created in an indirect way the condition for the growth of national sentiment.
