First I had an idea to invest the money on myself and my family. I had always cherished a dream of a beautiful house with all modern facilities. I had thought that after being a millionaire I would buy the bunglow of my dream in which there would be air-conditioned cars, beautiful gardens, several maids and servants and what not. But suddenly my conscience awakened and finally my selfish ideas changed. I decided to spend the total amount in some other way.

I have always a soft corner for those people who are really needy and deprived of many things. If ever I get a chance to uplift these people, I would surely extend my helping hand for them. I would do welfare works for them. I think education is the only way through which one can improve one’s status. Hence I would set up schools in different parts of the country.

These schools will be exclusively for those boys and girls whose parents are unable to teach them. In a country like India where the percentage of literacy is so low, it is very important to spread education among the poor. Apart from the normal schools, I would also set up a school for abnormal children. Parents of these children remain unsuccessful in giving them proper education.

As a result they become a burden not only on their families but on the society and finally on the nation. Hence it will be my prior duty to give them education in their own way so that they may be responsible citizens of the country.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

It is very shocking that half of the Indian children are severely under nourished. They do not get sufficient medical care and suffer from serious diseases. I would set up a few hospitals in the rural areas for the welfare of these destitutes. The hospitals would be equipped with all modern facilities and would provide free service.

As India is a developing nation, it becomes our duty to contribute for its all round development. That contribution may be of any form-physical, mental and economical. But everyone can’t afford to support the nation financially. So, I vow to donate a part of the rest amount to the Prime Minister’s/Relief Fund which will be of some meaningful use in the time of crises or natural disasters. I also intend to invest some part for the rehabilitation of those people who are physically challenged.

I think these steps will cost a lot no doubt, but it will certainly have far reaching impact and contribute a lot, to our society and nation. Such measures will give me a mental satisfaction. People will remember me after my life. Everyone has to leave the world but the world remembers those who do something for it. Hence, I have no intention to save a penny of that millions rupee for myself.
