This animal is found all over the world. It is gentle by nature. It gives us milk which is very nutritious. From milk, we make curd, butter and cheese from which again we make various kinds of cakes and sweetmeats.
The bulls pull carts, carry loads of men and goods and also draw ploughs in the field for cultivation. Sometimes, they are yoked to the grinding tree for extracting oil from seeds. In India, cow is worshipped also Cow dung is a good fertilizer which is generally used in cultivated fields for better growth of crops. After the cow dies, its skin is used in making shoes, bags, etc., and its bones are used in making buttons, combs, knife handles and similar other useful articles. So the cow is a very useful animal to us.
