The Polish sociologist Wlodzimierz Wesolowski presents, though social stratification exists, the disappearance of classes in the Marxian sense has removed the basic source of conflict. No longer does a small minority exploit the mass of the population.

There are no serious conflicts of interest between the various strata since the forces of production are communally owned and everybody is working for the benefit of society as a whole.

Although economic inequalities remain, they are determined (and justified) by the principle, ‘to each according to his work’.

Wesolowski claims that ‘the share of the individual in the division of the social product is determined by the quality and quantity of his work wages are a function of the quality of work, that is, they are a function of the level of skill and education necessary for carrying out a given job’.
