Short biography of Nobel Prize Winner – Amartya Sen. Amartya Sen was born in 1933 at Shantiniketan (Bengal). Out of sixty five years, thirty five years he spent in West-England and America. He became a professor at the age of 29. He taught at some of the best Universities like Oxford and Hayward.
A well-known social and religious reformer, Keshub Chandra Sen was born in Calcutta in 1838. As an intelligent student, he often took home prizes for excellence in Arithmetic and English at an early age.
Amartya was born in Shantiniketan in 1933. He was deeply affected by the death and hunger caused by the Bengal famine in 1943. He studied Economics in many Indian Institutes and then became a professor at the Delhi School of Economics.
