An Indian prince, Raja Mahendra Pratap strenuously worked for the freedom of the country. From 1914 to 1945, he stayed outside India and organised revolutionary activities. In 1915, he set up a Provisional Government of Free India in Kabul. Later he worked for the Ghadr Party and established an Indian League in Japan.
