Different methods of acquiring citizenship. How is citizenship lost?
Citizenship may be acquired according to two methods—(i) by birth, or (ii) by naturalization. There are two practices which are observed regarding the acquisition of citizenship by birth—Jus Sanguinis and Jus Soli.
