Tony Lopez fights out in Huntington Beach in California. He is an American and also a Mixed Martial Artist that trains with Wildman Vale Tudo team. Currently, he is the Gladiator Challenge Heavyweight champ as well as the former Light Heavyweight champion (186-205lbs), the Heavyweight (265lb maximum) and the King of the Cage champ (retaining both of this title for a while at the same time). He has an 18-1 fighting record.

However, Lopez came into prominence in the Mixed Martial Art after amassing an undefeated 16 fight streaked that lasted for over two years.

His first debut in the Mixed Martial Art was against Tony Galindo on the 20th of March, 2005 at the KOTC Sobosa where he won by a knockout in the first round.

At the KOTC River Rage, Lopez overcomed Kyle Kingsbury through a technical Knockout in the first round. However, Lopez suffered his very first defeat to Tony Bonello on 13th of October, 2007 at the KOTC Hierarchy through a unanimous decision by the judges. After that loss he recovered by defeating Frank Appah through a technical knockout at the KOTC Arch Rivals.

His next three matches which were all King of the Cage, he won all by submission. This time it was on John Brock at the KOTC Premiere, Joey Beltran at the KOTC Opposing Force and then Wade Hamilton at the KOTC Fight Nite at the Shrine.

After recording a 6-1 in the King of the Cage match, he later fought for the Heavyweight King of the Cage title by defeating Wes Combs through a submission (kimura) in the second round of the match at the KOTC Rock Solid. Then at the KOTC Distorted, Lopez defended his first title in a rematch on 1st October, 2009 against Joey Beltran. He won that match through a unanimous decision. At the KOTC Fight for Hope, he also defended his title against Tyler East; however it was a split decision.

In the first round of the King of the Cage match which was a Heavyweight Championship match, he defeated Tyler East using a submission victory in the first round of the fight on the 12th of February, 2010. This fight was among the King of the Cage’s first fight on HDNet.

For the Light Heavyweight of the King of the Cage match, Lopez won Fernando Gonzalez through a rear-naked choke submission in the second round at the KOTC Misconduct. Then on 27th February, 2009 he defended his first title against Keith Berry and won through a technical Knockout (punches) in round 3 at the KOTC Immortal. However, there was a rematch between him and Fernando Gonzalez where he was to defend his title. He won that fight through a rear-naked choke submission technique in the fifth round at the KOTC Storm.

Lopez lost to Tony Johnson in the next HDNet show the Heavyweight title thereby ending his undefeated 16-fight streak. In his subsequent fight he lost to Mike Kyle when the judges awarded the title to Kyle because of a split decision win.
