By winning six tides from seven major tournaments, Sanitarian has gained immense experience. Not only this, his rating has soared from 2569 in October 2001 to a career high in July 2002.

This brought Sanitarian at 40th position in the world ranking. His success story began in the AICF Golden Jubilee tournament at Kahikatea and he continued it in the Asia Open Championship at Bikaner and the Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Cup in Raipur.

He became the runner-up in the Goodricke International in Kolkata which is the best’finish by an Indian in die premier annual event. His most commendable performance was seen when he played his first tournament as 2650 player in July 2002. Sasikaran is not in favour of drawing matches.
