Olympics
This is an international sports festival which originated in the city of Olympia, an ancient city of Greece. Originally this game was first started in 776 B.C. at Olympia in Greece in the honour of the god Zeus.
The modem Olympic was first started by the French Buron Pierre de Coubertin in 1894 at Athens in Greece. Since then this great Olympics are held at every four years. In 2000 AD, the Olympics was held at Sidney in Australia and 2004 AD Olympics are going to be held at Beijing in China.
Asian Games (Asiads)

The first Asian Games were held in 1951 at the National Stadium, New Delhi in which eleven nations of the Asian countries participated. In 1998 the Asian Games was held in Bangkok, Thailand in which 41 nations participated and covered 36 disciplines. 2002 Asian Games are to be held in South Korean city of Pusan. Asian Games are held at every four years.
Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games were originally the British Empire Games which were first held at Ontario, Canada in 1930.
The games witness the participation of nations that are included within the commonwealth of nations which is an association of countries and other political units that were at one time or the other subjected to British law and government. These games are held at every four years. in the 1998 Commonwealth Games held in Kualalumpur, Malaysia, seventy countries participated. 2002 Commonwealth Games are going to be held at Manchester in England.
