Ramakrishna Paramhansa was a reformer of different type. He was a priest in the temple of goddess Kali at Dakshineswar near Calcutta. He had no formal education, yet he attained the highest spiritual realisation by yogic Saehan. He told that God is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent. Hair, Krishna, Allah, Christ etc. are different names of the same god. He relegated the ritualistic practices into a distant background and emphasized upon the fact that god can be realized by love, devotion and self-assurance. His simple spiritual thought and a clean heart for the service of mankind inspired many intellectuals to be his disciples. Through simple parables, he cleared the doubt of his disciples and inspired them to devote their body, mind and soul for the service of the suffering mass. One of his disciples Swami Vivekananda established ‘Ramakrishna Mission’ and fulfilled the desire to his master.
