Subhash Chandra Bose was a great freedom fighter. He was called ‘Netaji’ by everyone. He was born in Cuttack, Orissa, on January 23rd, 1897. His father was a great lawyer.

Netaji wanted to work for the poor but his father wanted him to go abroad and study. He sent him to England to appear for the Indian Civil Services. In July 1920, he appeared in the Civil Service Examination and passed it with distinction. But soon, he resigned from the service and returned to India.

In India, he founded the Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj) to overthrow the British Empire from India. Later on, Subhash Chandra Bose died in a plane crash. He was a powerful man.
