Technological factors have played significant role not only in overcoming environmental constraints but introducing new changes and developments in agriculture. These factors include irrigation, fertilisers, high yielding variety of seeds, insecticides/pesticides, farm machineries and financial institutions, etc.

It is because of these factors that the previous dependence of one crop farming to double cropping has been replaced by multiple cropping patterns and the country has been able to become self sufficient in the matter of food grains.

Infect no modern development of agriculture is possible unless technological factors are not taken proper care of. So much so that these are the agricultural inputs which determine the level and intensity of agricultural development. A detailed description of these factors has been made under the heading ‘agricultural inputs’.
