Short notes on Cladding of the Front Walls

(i) Panels of concrete with aggregate (crushed rock/gravel). Panels are secured to the brickwork by copper/phosphorous bronze clamps

(ii) Tiberian – Artificial marble.

(iii) Panels of coloured asbestos.

(iv) Ivy inserts are encouraged. Roollets may considerably damage by penetrating between the bricks and disrupting the joints. It should be killed by completely severing the main stem after an interval of some months when the Ivy above the cut has completely shriveled, it can be pulled away from the walls, Repointing of joints is necessary.

(v) Virginia – Creeper, harmless to water.
