Agranulocytes are non-granular white blood corpuscles. As the name itself indicates, leucocytes are without granules in their cytoplasm. They have a large nucleus. They are two kinds:

Lymphocytes:

They have a large round nucleus and cytoplasm from a non-granular rim around it. They from about 28% of total number of lymphocytes are produced in the spleen of a frog or in lymph nodes of mammals.

They are useful in the healing process of a wound.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

2) Monocytes or Mononuclear Leucocytes:

They are oval and irregularly shaped non-granular cells. They have a bean shaped nucleus and abundant in cytoplasm. Hey constitute 1 to 3% of the total leucocytes. Monocytes are phagocytic and are produced in spleen or lymph nodes.
