3 different types of committees

3 different types of committees are:

1. Line and Staff Committees:

Line committee has authority to take decisions which affect subordinates responsible to the said committee. A staff committee is one which can only perform an advisory function.

2. Permanent and temporary committees:

Some committees are formed on permanent basis and some committees are formed temporarily for a specific purpose.

3. Formal and informal committees:

Formal committees are part of organizational structure and are permanent in nature. Informal committees are temporary in nature and are formed to solve particular problems.
