My dear Neelmani,

My college work is over after finishing my Inter Examination. I pro­pose to spend my summer vacation visiting a few interesting places in the South such as Trivandrum, Madurai, Madras, Kanya- kumari and Rameshwaram. The tour is likely to be over in about twenty days.

I think it will be useful if I take a camera with me so that I shall be in a position to have some photographs of the beauty in these places.

My camera has gone out of order and I shall not be able to get it back from the shopkeeper by the time I start for the South.

I shall be much obliged if you could give me a loan of your camera for a few days. I shall return it in good condition as soon as I come back
