In response to your advertisement in The Hindustan Times of 27th December, 19… for the post of a Typist, I beg to apply for the same.
I am 18 years of age, with lot of initiative and drive. I have passed Senior Secondary Examination with high second class Marks (58%). I have completed Typing Course with credit from a well-known Commercial Institute in Delhi. At the moment, I can type at the speed of 35 words per minute with required accuracy. I have over 6 months “work-experience as a Typist, i worked with a lawyer of a High Court for about 6 months, but he recently expired of a massive heart-attack and so i am in search of a suitable job.
I have a very good command over English language. In my school-days I was the editor of the School Magazine for three successive years. I know Hindi, Punjabi and Tamil languages besides English. I can speak and write these languages with fluency. Therefore, I feel confident that I can carry on my duties as a Typist to your entire satisfaction, should you offer me the post
