Write a letter to your father from the hostel about your progress in studies

My dear Papa,

You will be glad to learn that I am doing quite well in my studies. When I left home, I was weak in ‘English and Hindi’. But after arriving here I told my teachers about my weakness in these subjects. They were so good that they called me in their spare time and removed all my difficulties. From the letter I am writing to you it should be clear that my English is no longer what is used to be.

I am now trying hard to make up my deficiency in Math. I approached my subject teacher for his advice and he had recommended some books.

You and Mummy can rest assured that this time my result will not let you down.

Please do keep me in touch with everything at home. Kindly convey my regards to dear mother and my love to Shashi.
