Respected brother,

My kow-tow to you and my best regards to our parents. You have asked me how I have fared in the half yearly examination. I have not belied your expectations and I deserve the success. I thank God first for the unbounded graciousness He has showered on me.

I could not have fared so well in the examination without the help of the revered teachers. I am greatly indebted to the teachers of our college particularly the Principal who has rendered great help to me as regards my study. All the teachers have helped me sincerely whenever I have required their assistance. I have scored 69% marks in the half yearly examination.

As regards my performance, I am still not satisfied with the performance in the examination could have been better I not been feverishly anxious about the nature of the questions. Though my preparation was well I could not escape the feeling of nervousness. Had I conquered the feeling of uncertainty and nervousness I could have fared far better. I had been thoroughly acquainted with the courses of studies prescribed for the said examination months before the examination day. I had hardly relied on the cheap bazar notes. Though I have passed the half yearly examination in the first division, I have still many steps to go. I am trying my best to have better achievement in my future examination.

Your affectionate brother
