Dear Sir,

I very much regret to inform you that a fire broke in our godown at the above address. All the stocks in the godown have been completely burnt and the godown has been damaged heavily. Fire has caused a loss of stock of value Rs 20 millions . Fortunately books of accounts and important papers have not been damaged.

I was informed the occurrence of fire at _____________p.m. and very soon I arrived at the spot after informing Fire brigade office. The fire fighters desperately tried to control the fire but could not save. You are requested to make necessary arrangement to assess the amount of loss and advise us about the procedure of submitting claim form.
