How to write Complaint Letters about Defective Goods?

Bring to notice the defective goods/articles:

1. This is to complain against the electric iron/mixer/ cooler I bought from your shop, last month.

2. This is to inform you that the refrigerator I brought from your agent here about six months back does not cool to the required degree.

3. I regret to inform that the TV set I bought last month from your dealer here, does not have good picture quality.

Give details of defect noticed:

4. The iron does not heat up to its maximum temperature.

5. The iron at times gives shock.

6. I feel that its thermostat/compressor is not functioning properly.

7. The mixer refuses to run and I feel there is something wrong with its motor.

8. The fault seems to be major as we have already tried all adjustments of the controls.

9. The lid of the cooker is defective and the steam leaks out.

Ask for replacement or repair of the article:

10. I am sending the said item by rail parcel. I will be obliged if you could rectify the defect send it back at the earliest.

11. I would be grateful if you could replace the faulty part and return the cooker/it as early as possible.

12. I will feel highly obliged if you get our set/refrigerator replaced.

13. I would be grateful if you could rectify the defect at the earliest.

Mention about the documents enclosed:

14. Enclosed herewith is a photocopy of the guarantee card.

15. All particulars of the set and its purchase are enclosed herewith.

Sample Letter

Dear Sir,
