Participative or democratic leadership

In this type of leadership the subordinates are consulted and their feedback is taken into the decision-making process. The leader’s job is primary of a moderator, even though he makes the final decision and he alone is responsible for the results. The group members are encouraged to demonstrate initiative and creativity and take intelligent interest in setting plans and policies and have maximum participation, in decision making. This assures better labour management relations, higher morale, and greater job satisfaction.
