Dharma Chakra Stupa is also called Dhamekh Stupa. Situated in Sarnath, this stupa is held by the Buddhists as the exact spot of the Buddha’s sermon.
The stupa is composed of a cylindrical tower rising 33.5 metres from a stone drum, ornamented with bas-relief foliage and geometric patterns. This stupa dates from the Gupta period.
