Along with the enumeration of the objectives the UN Charter also has laid down certain principles for the realization of the objectives.

The principles are:

Firstly, the organization of UN is based on the principles of the equality of its members.

Secondly, the members of the UN in order to enjoy the rights and benefits shall fulfill in good faith the obligations imposed in the UN Charter.

Thirdly, a” members shall settle international dispute by peaceful means.

Fourthly, all members shall refrain from threat or use of force against any state.

Fifthly, all members shall assist the UN in any action it takes against state that is an offender.

Sixthly, the non- member state shall act according to these principles.

Seventhly, UN is not empowered to intervene in the domestic affairs of any state.
