1. The capital cities of Gulbrga and Bidar had beautiful tombs, mosques and palaces. The Jama Masjid at Gulbarga and the tomb of Ahmad Shah in Bidar were splendid buildings. The Gol Gumbaz, the tomb of Muhammad Adil Shah, is one of the largest domes in the world.

2. Architecture continued to flourish even when the kingdom was divided into five independent kingdoms. Bijapur in the seventeenth century contained as many as 1600 mosques.

3. The Gol Gumbaz at Bijapur and the forts at Daulatabad and Golconda are fine examples of the Bahmani architecture of the later times.
