Short Notes on the Results of the Surrender of German Armies on 7th April 1945

Once Germany surrendered:

(i) The Second World War came to an end in Europe.

(ii) Germany was stripped off all her wartime gains and the country was divided into 4 zones of occupation.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

(iii) Berlin fell within the Soviet range and was split into 4 sectors.

(iv) A large number of Nazi leaders were captured and put to trial.
