There is a great controversy of opinion amongst historians regarding the origin of the Cold War. Some explain it in terms of the ideological difference between democracy and communism.
There are others who explain it in economic terms. They say the Cold War is basically an economic conflict.
The American concept of continuous expansion of market was opposed by the USSR and hence the Cold War. Another explanation was purely political.
It is said that the Cold War was due to certain misunderstanding between USA and Soviet Union which had no foundation at all.
