The life of a Pakistani soldier is one which is disciplined and very demanding, however he or she is compensated with heavy salary. In addition soldiers get free accommodation, free medical facilities, free messing, and leave policy, passage by air or rail at concessional rates. Most importantly they get the respect of the country, the most important incentive of all. Currently the army has turned into one of the most powerful forces of war in the world. Now Pakistan Army has developed and obtained the latest technological advancements in weapons, and Pakistan also has the status of being a nuclear power. Pakistan has been recognized for its commendable gallantry by the UNO and that is why it has been sent on different UN missions all around the world. UN also has commended the performance of the army.
Now it can be said that every Pakistani makes a little contribution to the defense of Pakistan but the role of a soldier is much different. He defends and protects the borders of Pakistan, and his efforts cannot be compared, these soldiers are the most disciplined people in the nation, the stability and security of the nation is in their hands. The life of these soldiers is very tough and they have to sacrifice a lot. They have to obey the orders of their commanders, and sometimes keep night long watches on the border even when there is a threat of great danger.
To become a soldier you have to make yourself extraordinary, you need to have a specific height; and be tall, healthy and smart. Bravery and intelligence are traits that have to be inborn or developed in these men. But soldiers also should have love for their nation and a soldier is always proud to be a soldier of Islam and Pakistan. It is believed that the freedom of the country depends upon the courage of its soldiers. A soldier is always prepared to defend his nation at any time and in any weather, as it is always uncertain when the enemy will attack, hence a soldier is always alert. Soldiers are made only after a tough training period, in fact there are some aspects of the training that never really end. The soldier must be well versed in the use of weapons, methods of raging war, keeping fit; hence a soldier always does military exercises.
Pakistani soldiers are one of the best soldiers in the world, when war comes they perform brilliantly and they have won many wars as well. Even when Pakistan is in the state of peace soldiers are not idle, they help in the construction of roads and bridges in many parts of the state. They also provide assistance in times of earthquakes and floods. In Wars, they do not only fight but aid civilians. The role of the Pakistani soldier during the Indo-Pak war was amazing. Our soldiers even aided the population of India; they gave them necessities and did not injure them. Pakistan should be proud of its soldiers. A soldier is said to be a real hero if he dies for the nation, and history remembers his name forever.
