In April 2007, a decision was taken to establish 30 Mega Food Park Schemes of Government of India. This scheme would work under the food and agriculture ministry, and Commerce and Industry ministry. According to the ministry in recent times, this scheme is useful from the point of view of the food retail market’s development.

In future the Food Park Scheme will be benefited by the retail markets and the farmers will also gain by this scheme. Along with this, distribution of food and conservation of food will get a stronghold by this scheme. By this Mega Food Park Scheme the foodstuff may be transported and delivered properly and they will be trustworthy. Besides farmers will get proper value for their produced crops and the problems regarding the stock of food crops will be solved. Permission has been given to this kind of Mega Food Park in Chhindbada in Madhya Pradesh.
