The Sikh community celebrates many parvas in Haryana. The birthdays of Guru Nanak, Guru Gobind Singh and Guru Arjan Dev are celebrated with devotion and religious fervour. Processions are taken out in various cities and townships of Haryana on such occasions. The paaih of Shri Guru Granth Sahib starts early in the morning.

Sikh devotees listen to the paath. At 12 p.m. in the noon, the bhog ceremony is held. Later, in the evening, people visit markets and their relatives in a bid to sustain the supremacy of the religious devotion of the Gurus. Sweets, langars and other religious processions are common. In many cities, processions are also taken out on the eves of such birthdays.

The martyrdom days of Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Arjan Dev are also celebrated in the entire State. Akhand Paath and processions are common on such occasions. Further, some devotees Organise Chhabils and langar and serve sweetened milk and food to the masses. The cities and towns of Panipat, Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Ambala cantonment, Jind and Sonepat are the major centres of attraction on such occasions, though such ceremonies are organised by the Sikhs throughout the State.
