If I was the Principal of a school I would try my best to prevent myself from being awe inspiring. Instead, I would love the inculcate love among my staff and children. I imagine that, all the school fraternity would love me instead of being frightened of me.

As a Principal I would try to understood and solve the individual and personal problems of my staff members for, I know I have to look after my staff. A school is known by its staff, and, if the staff is happy, it will work well and bring name to the school.

I would keep my staff happy and satisfied and yet, obedient and disciplined as, it is they who would pass on these good qualities to their students, whom they guide and lead.

In my school, there would never be any compromise with achievements, whether they be scholastic or in any other field of activity. My school would be known for its cent per cent results year after year and in extra curricular activities and, above all this, in discipline my school would be an example to others.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

The children would get all the encouragement they would need to work well in any sphere, yet, I would not tolerate any wastage of money, time or talent.

Petty politics among teacners and children that normally flourishes in other institutions would not be allowed any space in my school, as; I would not tolerate it at all. The staff and students of my school would be the most homogeneous community and thus, lovable and easy to manage.

There would be strict discipline in my school with a continuous flow of rewards and punishments for right and wrong, good and bad. This I would do as, I firmly believe that, rewards and punishments are essential ingredients of our growth. If a good job done is not rewarded the doer is depressed and disheartened.

At the same time, if a bad or wrong act does not get punished the wrong doer is indirectly encouraged to repeat it without a care. My reward and punishment to any one would follow my own personal assessment of the act, of the situations and, I would never be influenced by hearsay. Favouritism and lies would never be allowed to enter premises of my school as; I feel that they are the foundation stones of all evils of the world of man.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Besides my staff and children, as the Principal of the school, I would keep a close rapport with the parents of the children and the families of the staff. This would enable me to reach out to them whenever they were in need.

I would personally monitor the attention parents give to the progress of their children for, if parents do not provide support base required for the children development is faulty.

This would give me personally the correct assessment of the background of each child and see how the parents are helping the children in their pursuits. Even the parents would be reprimanded for their possible disinterest or casualness towards their own children, and their bringing up.

This is because I firmly believe that the parents and the school play supplementary and complimentary roles in bringing up the young generation. Without a close watch and close rapport of the two wings, children can go astray.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Thus, if I was the Principal of a school, I would do all this and much more to make my school a good training ground for the children in the institute. I would try my best to give all the inputs to make a healthy and forward looking new generation. With this I would be able to contribute my little mite to the growth of the generation in the making.
